Some causes of autism may be avoidable:|
(2) I became aware in 2002 that immediate clamping of the umbilical cord at birth has become an obstetric protocol. The hazards of this have been brought to light through the efforts of Dr. George Malcolm Morley. See his websites at www.cordclamp.com, and now www.autism-end-it-now.org.
(3) I have come to view the published protocol for immediate clamping of the umbilical cord as most disturbing, [Turrentine JE (2003) Clinical Protocols in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Second Edition. Parthenon Publishing Group, New York]. This motivated me to send the following paper in 2004 to the National Children's Study (NCS): Concerns About Umbilical Cord Clamping
